Invite teammates and manage roles

Milestone is better with your team in it. You invite people to your workspace, and from there they can be given access to specific projects and boards. This guide covers inviting members and what each role can do.

Admins manage members

Inviting and managing members happens in workspace settings, which is available to workspace owners and admins.

Invite people to your workspace

Open workspace settings

Go to Settings, then under your workspace open the Members tab (titled Team Management).

Enter their emails

Under Invite New Members, type one or more email addresses separated by commas.

Pick a role and send

Choose a Role for the invitees (see below) and click Invite. Outstanding invites appear under Pending Invitations, where you can revoke one if needed.

Roles and what they can do

OwnerFull access to the workspace, including billing.
AdminCan manage projects, members, billing, and other workspace settings.
MemberCan only access items shared with them.

Access flows downhill

Project admins automatically get admin access to all boards in that project, and workspace owners/admins get admin access to every board. Use the Access tab in workspace settings to grant project- or board-level access to specific people.

Manage existing members

In the Members tab you can change a member's role or remove them from the workspace. Removing someone revokes their access — you can add them back later if needed.
