Create a workspace and project

In Milestone, a workspace is the home for your team — it holds your projects, members, and shared knowledge. Inside a workspace you create projects, and each project holds one or more boards where the actual tasks live. This guide gets you from zero to your first project.
Create a workspace
Open the workspace switcher
Open the workspace switcher and choose Create Workspace (or Create New Workspace).
Name it
In the Create Workspace dialog, enter a Name (for example, your team or company name). A Description is optional. Names can be up to 24 characters.
Create
Click Create Workspace. You can switch between workspaces any time from the switcher, and rename it later in workspace settings.
One workspace per team
Most teams need just one workspace. Use projects and boards — not separate workspaces — to organize different areas of work.
Create your first project
Start a project
From your dashboard, choose Create project (the empty state reads "Create your first project.").
Name and describe it
Enter a Project name (e.g. My Awesome Project). Description is
optional. You can also add a Template prompt to let AI scaffold the
project for you.
Create it
Click Create project. Your project opens, ready for its first board.
